Nick Olson was born on October 14, 1986, in the heart of Dallas, Texas, to a disciplined military father and a nurturing schoolteacher mother. Raised in a home that valued service, structure, and community, Nick naturally gravitated toward leadership roles throughout his youth—captaining his high school football team and earning top marks in leadership development programs. After graduating from Highland Park High, he enlisted in the National Guard, where he served with distinction, gaining critical experience in logistics, field tactics, and emergency response operations. Following his service, Nick returned to Texas and joined the Dallas Police Department, eventually rising to the rank of Captain. His tenure in Dallas was marked by tactical efficiency, calm under pressure, and a sharp mind for strategy—yet the city's unrelenting pace and political strain left Nick searching for something more personal and grounded. In 2011, he made the life-changing decision to move west, settling in the peaceful hills of Vinewood and joining the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office as a trainee deputy. What followed was a meteoric rise through BCSO’s ranks. From basic patrols to orchestrating major multi-agency operations, Nick quickly proved himself. His founding of the Offroad Specialty Unit (OSU) solidified his legacy within the department, with OSU becoming one of the most active and respected divisions in the county. Nick was soon promoted to Colonel and earned accolades for both his leadership and his uncanny ability to survive the most dangerous scenarios—jokingly earning the titles “Most Likely to Be Shot in the Vest” and “Most Likely to Be Taken Hostage.” In 2024, Olson was selected to become Chief of Police at the Los Santos Police Department, a role he commands with both discipline and vision. After his service, he returned to civilian life and enrolled in the Dallas Training Academy, quickly climbing the ranks to Captain in the Dallas Police Department. He made a name for himself by defusing volatile gang conflicts and running a clean, efficient precinct. Move to Blaine County: ------------------------ • Seeking a quieter, more personal environment, Nick moved west and settled in Vinewood Hills, transferring to the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) in 2011. Starting from the ground up as a Trainee, he worked his way to Colonel, leading operations across all of Blaine’s rough terrains. • He lead the Offroad Specialty Unit (OSU), which specialized in high-speed, off-grid chases, and rural tactical response. OSU became one of the most referenced and active sub-divisions in BCSO under his leadership.
